Calypso Advanced:
There are two main CALYPSO training courses (Basic and Advanced). Together these classes provide the tools necessary to utilize Calypso to its potential. It is highly recommended that all Calypso users attend this class.

Objectives:
• Introduce additional measurement topics not covered in the Calypso basic class.
• Provide participants with the knowledge to become more proficient in programming
(both in time and execution).
• Cover CAD model programming techniques
• Overall - provide participants with the skills to maximize their CMM's abilities

Reasons for Attending:
Calypso is a very powerful object-oriented measuring software package that offers
a wealth of tools to simplify and accommodate most metrology tasks. The advanced
class continues where the basic class left off. It covers new functions that will allow
the inspector to maximize his company's investment in their CMM.

Who Should Attend:
This program is recommended for all Calypso users. Particular emphasis is placed on
those who are responsible for CMM inspection and programming results.

Course Outline:
• CAD file types, healing, offline programming and troubleshooting.
• Scanning: algorithms, filtering, outlier elimination
• Probe force, velocity, bending compensation
• Conditional Branching, Looping
• Curve Measurement (using Calypso curve)
• Special alignments: Iterative, best fit, RPS, P6
• Custom outputs, bore pattern fitting
• Pallet programming
• Parameter Control Manager (PCM) for part families
